The cutest coffee shop ever!! I went in with a few friends. The shop is so adorable and cozy.. The owner was super sweet and so helpful also her worker alongside of her..I’m not a coffe drinker so I asked about dirty sodas which ended up being soo delicious....it’s a perfect spot for a “first date” or just to catch up with some friends or grab a coffee..definitely recommend

Stopped by First Date and loved it! Such a cute, welcoming spot with the sweetest owner—you can tell a lot of care goes into everything. The coffee was delicious and the overall vibe is warm and inviting. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

This coffee shop has a cozy atmosphere. The iced white chocolate Christmas latte, it was spot on. They offer seasonal drinks as well as cookies. And look at those cute ❤️straws

First Date has been such a delightful addition to downtown Toms River. I’ve been there a few times already, with my first visit being their soft open during one of the towns street fairs. I asked the owner if they have dairy free options, explaining I have a dairy and wheat allergy. She went inside to double check the ingredients for one of the items, which was very helpful and reassuring. I love that energy drinks, dirty sodas, and coffee drinks are offered. The drinks offered change seasonally (with staple cafe drinks offered as well) and the owner is very quick to tell me what changes can be made to the drinks to accommodate my food restrictions. Every drink I’ve had has been great and I love that they have a rewards program for customers. First Date is a great, family owned coffee shop, and the owners’ thoughtfulness is so welcoming. I look forward to visiting again.

Just recently moved to Toms River & have been on the HUNT for a good coffee shop, I’m happy to say First Date Coffee Shop has the best coffee i’ve had in a long time. My boyfriend got the Toasted Marshmallow Latte & i got the Reese’s Latte which were both 10/10! Not only are the drinks a 10/10 but the atmosphere was so amazingly pink & just a vibes which i love & appreciate so much. We just left & i can’t wait to go back to try the whole menu!

I really liked this coffee shop; I went with my daughter for our date💘. The place is beautifully decorated, with a vintage style, pastel colors, and lovely furniture, creating a pleasant atmosphere that invites you to linger and chat 😍. The coffees are excellent, and they also sell muffins, cookies, etc ☕️🍪. I recommend the pistachio muffin; it's awesome! The service was what I liked the most - super friendly and pleasant. If you go on the weekend, I suggest parking in the parking lot behind the Ocean County Library; it is covered and free🅿️. Recommended! ✅️

As a Toms River local, I cannot tell you how excited I was about the opening of First Date Coffee Shop. The vibes, gorgeous ambience, and delicious drinks made my visit worth it. I will definitely return with my young kiddos so they can also enjoy yummy treats and fun drinks! Kind owners who care deeply about making your experience the right one. I highly recommend! My chai latte was delicious!

What a great coffee shop! The coffee is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and comfortable. We absolutely love the decor—it gives the shop a unique charm and makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. One of the best parts of our visit was meeting the owner. They are incredibly kind, welcoming, and down-to-earth, which really adds to the overall experience. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in creating a place where everyone feels at home. If you’re looking for great coffee, a beautiful atmosphere, and friendly people, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. We will absolutely be back!

Love this cute lil coffee shop! It is exactly what TR needed! The aesthetic is perfection , down to the pink heart straws omggg I was obsessed ! & The drinks were delicious. So good, that my husband downed a 3rd of his latte before I could even take a cute shot LOL The main reason we will definitely be coming back here is that the energy was so warm and welcoming from the ladies taking care of us. They were very sweet and friendly! All around amazing vibes 10 out of 10 experience

Love coming here! My favorite coffee shop. The owner is so friendly and inviting. Coffee is always yummy and most importantly always consistent! Love the iced lattes with handmade cold foam. Lots of flavors to choose from!
